Ganesh Himal trek lies to the south of the Langtang range carrying his name is endowed with a rich variety of flora and fauna that our trek sets out to explore. In the forest, you can see so many trees like Spanish Oak, Rhododendron and Blue Pine, and many others. There are also 40 species of orchid, 300 species of birds, tahr, musk deer, wild boar, several species of monkey and a variety of smaller creatures. In addition, there are splendid displays of seasonal flowers with their accompanying bees and butterflies.

Ganesh is the elephant-headed Hindu god of good fortune. The Ganesh Himal trekking Nepal rises to the north of Kathmandu and, on a good day, its four impressive peaks can be seen as part of a crystal chain shining along the Tibetan border. This Ganesh Himal Region is still largely untouched by modern progress or mass tourism and is sandwiched between the Manaslu range to the west and the popular Langtang Gosainkund Valley to the east. From Kathmandu, an “exhilarating” drive follows the Trisuli River into the hills through a landscape of forest, terraced farmlands and ancient villages to the small town of Betrawati.
Gurungs and Tamangs people live in this reason and the trail initially leads through friendly thatched roofed villages above terraced farmlands towards the more sparsely populated forests above. From high ground and mountain range, there are spectacular views of the high Himalaya to the north. Ganesh Himal trekking itinerary is an excellent trek on which to experience a slice of ancient culture and unspoiled nature in its grand Himalayan setting. Spring and Autumn are the best seasons to do this trek.
