Guerrilla Trek is a newly opened trekking trail in Nepal, which will take you to the distant region within the western part of Nepal. The trek was named Guerrilla Trek Nepal because of the similar paths were used by Maoists cadres during the civil war. This trek reveals the hideouts of the Maoists during the war, and you’ll also get to listen to innumerable events of the war by locals. You’ll see jaw-dropping sceneries and views of some of the highest mountains in the world.
The trek started from Beni leading towards Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve which is the only legal hunting reserve in Nepal. You will then trek to Myagdi, Rukum, and Rolpa that were the most affected regions during the civil war of Nepal. The path goes through Jaljala Pass (3,414 m), which presents the gorgeous panorama of Mt, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Mt. Api (7,132 m), Mt. Saipal (7,031 m), and the other Himalaya Mountains. Guerrilla Trek combined presents distinctive culture, tradition, and way of living of the Himalayan people throughout the trek. The trail goes through beautiful lush forests of rhododendron, fir, oak, pine, birch, hemlock, and juniper. You will also come across the settlements of the ethnic group like Chhetri, Thakali, Tibetan, Magar, and Brahmin. This is a perfect trek for someone who wanted to experience outstanding views of nature, culture, and historic events at once.
