Situated in the North-eastern part of Nepal, Kanchenjunga Himal is also known as ‘Five Treasures of the Great Snow’. Kanchenjunga is the third highest peak in the world which covers most of the eastern border of Nepal with Sikkim in India. Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek is considered to be different and more adventurous than others in Nepal. In Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek Nepal, one can enjoy the mixed experience of viewing the high mountain massif, beautiful natural sites, ancient histories and many different ethnic communities residing in this region. During the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking, the trekkers slowly explore the remote valleys, pristine lakes, quaint villages and dense forests conserving varieties of floras and faunas.

Our Journey of Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek itinerary starts with the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and then a scenic drive along with the diverse landscapes along the forest area to Ilam, a beautiful city of Nepal. The trek takes off from Taplejung and we head to Chirwa. Slowly gaining altitude, our stops at Sukethum and Gyabla help to acclimatize with the Himalayan atmosphere. From Gyabla, we climb to Ghunsa and then to Kambachen. Lhonak is the final destination of the trek where we take an excursion to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp also known as Pangpema. Descending back to Ghunsa, we take a different route and head to Yamphudin. From Yamphudin, past Khebang, we arrive at Khandinbe and drive to Birtamod. A short drive from Birtamod takes us to Bhadrapur where we get on a flight to Kathmandu valley. One of the main attractions of this Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek route is the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area which is the home for many wild animals, birds, and plants. It covers an area of around 2035 square kilometers and it preserves many endangered floras and faunas. This region is inhabited by the mixed communities of Sherpa, Rai, Limbu, and Gurung. One will get a chance to view the mountain panoramas like Lhotse (8414m), Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Makalu (8463m), and many others.
